It’s good to look back and forward, all at once, to get a good sense of things.
1. The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel is currently changing my life. It’s like standing face to face with the facts that make you feel like the place Jesus said he’s making for us is so close, warm, and real that I can imagine it as a real place now. He was serious. It’s a real place. And, suddenly, I can feel that.
2. San Francisco in T-minus 5 days.
3. Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas gift/date tonight = inspiring, loud, dramatic, unexpected, overall pretty good
4. Picture a day for a year sounds like a pretty fantastical idea; then make a book of the images. I can’t claim the idea as my own, but I can love it. One has to have goals doesn’t one?
5. Despite the working on NYE part, Christmas break has been liberating: including new work-out clothes (to replace my manly, high-school basketball shorts that don’t seem to be too popular with college-age women) and impromptu euchre tables at Grandma’s and major closet/wardrobe-overhaul.
